Step 2: Connecting the CM4 to the GPI Case 2

  1. Make sure the CM4 is properly inserted into the GPI Case

  2. Run RPIBOOT as administrator on your computer.
  3. Connect the GPI Case 2 to a USB port for flashing the eMMC on your computer.
  4. Wait for the RPIBOOT command console to react and detect the CM4.

Step 4: Flashing Recalbox with Raspberry Pi Imager

  1. Launch Raspberry Pi Imager on your computer.
  2. Select “Choose OS” and choose “Recalbox”.
  3. Click "Choose SD Card" and select the CM4 (should appear as a storage device).
  4. Click “Write” to flash Recalbox directly to the CM4.

Step 5: Final configuration with GPI Case 2

  1. Once flashing is complete, turn off the GPI Case 2 using the top ON/OFF button.
  2. Unplug the case from your computer.
  3. Restart your future console via the ON/OFF buttons on the case. (this step may take a few minutes at first start)
  4. Configure Recalbox to your preferences using the GPI Case 2 buttons and controls.
